EMI Classics announce the release of a new series of box set compilations

This new series pays homage to some of the greatest recording artists of the recent past, including Dennis Brain, Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Solomon, Giuseppe di Stefano, Mirella Freni, Janet Baker, Andrés Segovia, Sviatoslav Richter, Victoria de los Angeles, Jascha Heifetz, Alfred Cortot and Jussi Bjorling.

New releases in March 2009 feature the EMI recordings of Franco Corelli, Walter Gieseking, Montserrat Caballé, Artur Schnabel, Fritz Kreisler, and Hans Hotter.

The September 2009 batch includes sets of recordings by Lucia Popp, Yehudi Menuhin and Stéphane Grappelli, Nathan Milstein, Richard Tauber, and Leopold Stokowski.

February 2010 sees the release of 6 new sets featuring Arthur Rubinstein, Beniamino Gigli, Kirsten Flagstad, Nicolai Gedda, Samson François, and Tito Gobbi.
